How to achieve that perfectly smooth, rounded hip of the Edwardian era? With these! Pattern drafted by hand directly from an original pair of hip pads that came sewn into an antique dress. These pads are engineered- there is a top layer and a shaped under layer, with pieced interlining and specific grainlines. The result is a set of pads that flexes and molds over the hip to mask the corset edge and create that smooth, rounded look of the Edwardian era.
Pattern purchase includes a pdf download of instructions and pattern pieces. Pieces are meant to be printed on letter-sized 8.5x11 inch paper. Pads are meant to be created as a pair (a right and a left) and can be sized to suit along vertical and horizontal lines.
These pads do not replace hip pads worn to give the Edwardian shape, they are meant to smooth and give a rounded shape. Can be worn with or without hip/rump pads.
*Patterns are for personal use only. Your purchase supports an independent designer/vendor/artist. Sure, you could copy this and send it to your friends, but you'd be stealing from me. I spent hours and hours creating this by hand, with a pen and paper. It's only 6 dollars. Please don't steal from me.*
